Every Anna Xaniotaki hat is a work of art, handcrafted in her Athens atelier using time-honoured techniques and the finest materials.

The process begins with the careful selection of wool and fur felts, which are then shaped over wooden hat blocks using traditional hand-blocking methods passed down through the generations. Delicate flowers are meticulously crafted from premium felts and fabrics, shaped entirely by hand to create unique embellishments.

 

Every stitch is sewn by hand, and select sweatbands and trimmings are finished using treasured antique sewing machines. Anna is committed to using only natural stiffeners — PVA and shellac — ensuring that each hat is crafted without the use of chemical alternatives.

True craftsmanship cannot be rushed. Each hat is a labour of love, requiring three to four weeks of meticulous work — from hand-blocking the felt to shaping every petal to securing every stitch — to achieve a flawless finish.
